About Us

oowls is an independent news website covering the BGMI family of mobile games played in India: Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI), BGMI Lite and the global PUBG Mobile.

We previously covered Free Fire MAX and Call of Duty: Mobile. Those stories stay published and remain readable, but we no longer report on either game.

We publish patch notes, season updates, balance changes, event news and the reporting around competitive play — written in plain English for players in India.

What we cover

We stick to the three games above. We do not cover every mobile game, and we do not try to be a general gaming website. Covering less means we can follow each game closely enough to tell a real change from a rumour.

Alongside the news we keep a download page for each app — the latest version, its size and what your phone needs, checked every day — and a wiki of the games' weapons, attachments, vehicles and maps.

How a story gets made

Every story on this site goes through the same route:

1. We watch the news. Our system checks published news feeds for the three games several times a day.
2. We group reports of the same event. When several publishers report the same update, those reports are handled together rather than separately.
3. We read the original articles. The actual source articles are retrieved and read in full, not just their headlines.
4. We write it up. A draft is produced in our own words, with facts cross-checked against every source used.
5. A person edits and publishes it. Nothing reaches this website automatically. A human editor checks the draft, corrects it, adds the image and decides whether it is published at all.

We use automation to find and draft, and people to check and decide. Step 5 is not optional and has no bypass.

Sources

A story is written from several published reports of the same event, checked against each other, and read by an editor before it goes live. We write every story in our own words, and we never use another publication's images.

Corrections

We would rather correct a story than leave it wrong. If you spot an error, write to us at support@oowls.in with the story link and what is wrong with it. Corrections are made to the story itself, and a story that changes materially after publication says so.
