The Mobile Premiere 2026: KRAFTON India Backs Indie Devs
KRAFTON India partners with The Mobile Premiere 2026 to spotlight Indian indie game developers, with INR 1 Lakh prizes via KIGI Indie Excellence Honors.
KRAFTON India has come on board as the official partner for the Indie Segment of The Mobile Premiere 2026, a global showcase built only for mobile games. The push here is simple: give homegrown studios a bigger stage, and give Indian indie game developers a shot at global visibility that is usually reserved for the big international names.
The showcase runs alongside the 6th GamingonPhone Awards on October 28, 2026, in Bangkok, Thailand, and will bring together upcoming titles from studios across the world.
What Indian Studios Actually Get
As part of the KRAFTON India indie partnership, only studios that are registered and based in India can take part. Those selected get to put their games in front of a global audience next to titles from established international teams.
Every Indian indie title picked for The Mobile Premiere gets INR 1 Lakh in prize money through the KIGI Indie Excellence Honors. So it is real money plus the kind of industry exposure that is hard to buy.
Built On KIGI
This whole thing sits on top of KRAFTON India's Gaming Incubator (KIGI), which already backs emerging talent with financial help, mentorship and access to global platforms. The KIGI Indie Excellence Honors is where that support converts into a spot on an international showcase.
The Mobile Premiere is powered by GamingonPhone, while its wider vision is guided by The Executive Foundry, an advisory board of global games industry veterans. That board includes Anuj Sahani, Head of Gaming Incubator and Director of Publishing at KRAFTON India.
"KRAFTON India's support for the Indie segment is a great step towards giving homegrown studios more visibility. India's indie developers have some incredible stories to tell, and with KRAFTON India joining The Mobile Premiere, they now have a bigger stage to share those stories with a wider global audience," said Tousif Hasan Biswas, Founder and CEO, GamingonPhone.
How To Register
Indian indie developers and publishers with games registered and based in India can sign up for the honors at no cost. The route is the Studio Interest Form, and there is no entry fee involved.
- Studio must be registered and based in India
- Game must be an Indian indie title
- Entry through the Studio Interest Form, completely free
- Selected titles get showcased globally plus INR 1 Lakh
More details on the selected studios, their games and the Indian Indie segment will drop ahead of the event. If you are a BGMI or PUBG Mobile regular who follows the Indian dev scene, this is the pipeline that could put the next big homegrown mobile title on the map.
