BGMI Air Closed Beta Testing Opens Registrations Today
Krafton has opened BGMI Air Closed Beta Testing registrations. Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata host the in-person playtest; entries close 9 November 2026.
Krafton has opened registrations for BGMI Air Closed Beta Testing, giving players in India a chance to playtest the lighter version of the game before it launches. The entry is an audition, not a download: Krafton will pick players and invite them to an in-person session in one of three cities.
Three cities, and you travel on your own money
Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata have been chosen to host the playtest. Players pick the city closest to them, which keeps the trip cheaper. You pay for your own travel and stay, whether that is a train, bus, flight or bike.
Krafton India has not published the venues or the test dates yet. The audition form says the date, city and venue stay secret until Krafton or its partner agency announces them, and for at least a month in any case. Selected players get a call, an ID check and a time slot they must confirm, and the details are shared only with them.
The form also does not let you change your city after you apply, so pick the one you can actually reach.
Registration window
Registrations opened on 27 October 2026 and close on 9 November 2026 at 11:59 PM. Filling the form does not guarantee a slot.
Who can apply
- You must be 18 or older when you apply. Krafton says it will check your ID if you are shortlisted; Aadhaar, PAN, driving licence, passport or a college ID all work, and the name you enter must match it exactly.
- Your BGMI Account ID, which is the number shown as Character ID in your profile.
- Your in-game name, typed exactly as it appears.
- Where you live, and how you plan to travel to the session.
- A video lasting 15 to 60 seconds, in which you record yourself and say why you should be selected.
The form asks whether you make Reels, stream or play in an esports team, but "None of these" is a valid answer. Regular players are welcome; you do not need to be a creator.
The video rules
Krafton's question for the audition is why you should get the first chance to experience BGMI Air. You can speak in Hindi, Bengali, Tamil, English or any language you are comfortable in, and hold the phone vertically. What the video must not have:
- Copyrighted music
- Other game brands in the frame
- Leaks or hacks
- An AI-generated face or voice, deepfakes or copied clips
Upload it as an Instagram Reel, a YouTube Short (unlisted is fine) or a Google Drive file shared as "Anyone with the link". Check the link opens for someone who is not logged in to your account. Posting it on Instagram tagging @BGMIAir with #BGMIAir is optional, and the form says it gives extra points; if you do, keep your account public and the reel up until results are out.
How to register
The audition goes through an official Google Form, and the form itself warns that wrong details mean rejection.

- Sign in with your Google account and accept the terms and the confidentiality agreement.
- Fill in your full name as on your ID, date of birth, an 18-or-older confirmation, gender (optional), mobile number and whether it is on WhatsApp, and your email typed twice. Krafton will use that phone number and email if you are shortlisted.
- Enter your BGMI Account ID and in-game name, then the brand of the phone you play on most and its RAM. Choose "Not Sure" if you do not know the RAM.
- Pick your current region: Mumbai region, Delhi NCR, Kolkata region or elsewhere in India. Add your 6-digit pincode, then the city you will travel to.
- Paste your video link, tick the boxes confirming the video is your own work, and submit.
Silence until late November
Selected players cannot reveal any details of the game in public until 24 November, under the legal conditions of the confidentiality agreement. So if you see a "BGMI Air beta APK" being passed around, the audition form is the only way in.
About the game
BGMI Air is the lighter version of Battlegrounds Mobile India, built for phones that struggle with the full game. It runs on low-end devices and takes up much less storage while keeping the gameplay experience.
Krafton India renamed it from BGMI Lite on 15 October, after more than 10 million people pre-registered for it.
Krafton has not shared how it will pick players from the audition.
