BGMI Collection Level: How it works and the new Collector ad films
Krafton India and Dentsu Creative Isobar's BGMI Collection Level campaign brings two 80s Bollywood-style films, Akkad Bakkad Collector and Nikamme Ki Amma.
Krafton India and Dentsu Creative Isobar have launched a new campaign for BGMI Collection Level, turning the word "Collector" into a badge of pride for players. The thought running through it: "Jo BGMI par collection level badhaye, woh Collector ban jaaye."
Srinjoy Das, Director, Marketing and BGMI Product Management, said Collection Levels are "an incredible vanity metric that players in BGMI swear by." He called them "an instant source of pride, and a testament to the time spent in the game over the years." He also said the campaign's return got "heavy engagement on socials," and that a long-term sustenance campaign around the theme is planned.
Two films, 80s Bollywood style
The Dentsu Creative Isobar BGMI campaign is built as two films: Akkad Bakkad Collector and Nikamme Ki Amma. Both lean on the exaggerated drama of 80s Hindi cinema, small-town chaos and old-school slapstick.
- Akkad Bakkad Collector is set in a small-town office where everyone is preparing for an important dignitary's arrival, and the chaos that follows. It went live on the official BGMI YouTube channel on 25 September 2026 under the title "Akkad Bakkad Collector | Kya Level Hai? #BGMI", and has 36,64,179 views and 296 likes.
- Nikamme Ki Amma plays on the classic story of a mother dreaming of seeing her son reach a prestigious position. On YouTube it is titled "Nikamma Bana Collector #BGMI", released 26 September 2026, with 36,21,042 views and 253 likes.
Both films use the hashtags #BGMI #Collector #CollectionLevel.
In both, the expected payoff turns towards BGMI and the status of building an impressive collection.
The films drew coverage on 19 October 2026, when afaqs, Adgully and MediaInfoline reported the campaign, with MediaNews4U following on 20 October.
Why 'Collector'
Abhijat Bharadwaj, CCO, Dentsu Creative Isobar, said good humour often comes from taking something everyone knows and looking at it from an unexpected angle. With BGMI, he said, "Collector" gave exactly that opportunity — a word that conjures authority, ambition and family pride. The team, he said, played it completely straight, leaning into the melodrama and chaos of old Hindi cinema and letting BGMI deliver the punchline.
What Collection Level is
Collections are not new. They arrived in the 3.2 update in 2024, and the campaign is promoting a feature that has been in the game for years.
It has three parts. Level gives rewards as your level rises. Exhibition is a 5x5 sticker display grid. Treasury gives rewards for finishes in Classic and Metro Royale, for the M416 and AKM only.
Points come from almost every inventory item except emotes and a few others, with rarity setting the value. The biggest hauls are a maxed X-Suit at 165/225, a Level 8 Mythic upgradeable gun at 225, and a Mythic airdrop supercar at 135. Epic items sit at the bottom, at 2–3 points each.
If you want to climb without spending much, season-shop Epic items, Soldier crates bought with BP and the silver fragment store, which has a Mythic pan, are the cheap routes. Free players can progress, but the big jumps need paid premium skins.
